Job Overview LaSalle Investment Management, the investment division of JLL, is seeking an HR Business Partner to lead Human Resources initiatives for the Americas region. Based in Chicago, you will serve as a strategic partner to senior leaders across a $30 billion asset portfolio supporting approximately 350 employees throughout the U.S. and Canada. This dynamic role encompasses the full employee lifecycle – from talent acquisition and performance management to compensation planning and employee relations. As a trusted advisor, you will develop and drive programs that optimize talent, structure, and culture while championing our Culture of Care values. You will manage a team, influence business strategy, and contribute to global HR initiatives that strengthen communities and improve lives. Day‑to‑day Responsibilities Serve as the primary HR contact for the Americas region, providing guidance on HR processes and managing HR Analyst and Talent Acquisition Associate. Partner with business leaders to influence and integrate targeted people strategies that drive business objectives, develop strategic staffing plans, and address performance gaps. Champion Culture of Care values by driving engagement and productivity across the workforce, focusing on inclusiveness, belonging, and the overall people experience. Support executive stakeholders with competing priorities across multiple geographies and business lines, providing coaching to elevate leadership teams collectively and individually. Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, engaging with Legal teams and Knowledge Centers as appropriate. Analyze HR analytics and provide strategic insights to grow the business, deliver results, and drive continuous HR improvement with commercially sound solutions. Participate in LaSalle’s international HR team on global human capital projects including leadership development, compensation programs, compliance, expatriate support, and engagement initiatives. Required Qualifications Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a client‑focused HR generalist role including recruitment, compensation, performance management, employee relations, project management, and integrated talent management. Experience in investment management, private equity, or financial services is strongly desired. Bachelor’s degree with major concentration in HR or business. Proven track record as a trusted partner who influences business leaders and strategic direction of organizations. Demonstrated ability to lead and operate within a matrixed organization with strong collaboration skills across all levels. Strong analytics, business, and financial acumen with ability to balance commerciality with risk and compliance mindset. Results‑oriented self‑starter comfortable with ambiguity and able to lead through complex situations as a change catalyst. Effective communicator and presenter with proven influencing skills. Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree and/or HR certification (PHR, SPHR, GPHR). Experience working in a global organization with demonstrated ability to work across cultures. People management experience with ability to develop and mentor team members. Familiarity with investment‑management business operations and strategy. Location Onsite – Chicago, IL. Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $130,000 – $170,000 per year, dependent on experience, location, and market data. Eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
