Comparative Medicine Operations Manager

Comparative Medicine Operations Manager role supporting Pfizer's R&D site in Connecticut. Responsible for managing vivarium operations, ensuring animal care and welfare compliance with regulatory standards, supervising technical staff, and facilitating research support across the organization.

Responsibilities

Manage vivarium operations ensuring compliance with AAALAC International guidelines and local regulations
Supervise animal care and technical staff, develop policies, and support staff professional growth
Coordinate centralized training program for research animal care staff and principal investigators
Develop quality assurance programs, manage budgets, and oversee equipment and supply procurement
Partner with research units to provide technical services and support animal-based research projects

Requirements

Bachelor's degree with 5+ years experience, or Master's degree with 3+ years, or PhD
LATG certification required
Supervisory experience managing animal care staff
Technical knowledge of laboratory animal care practices
GLP experience preferred
CMAR certification preferred
Experience with rodent and nonhuman primate vivarium operations preferred

Compensation: $99,200–$165,400 base salary, plus 12.5% bonus target and long-term share incentives
