Responsibilities

• Take-in underwriting submissions, perform account clearance, OFAC clearance, and prepare underwriting worksheets for underwriting review
• Set up underwriting files and maintain proper and complete underwriting documentation
• Assist underwriters with underwriting analysis, rating and quoting, binding, and policy issuance
• Maintaining accurate newline and renewal logs
• Manage midterm endorsement requests
• Responsible for the preparation of renewals, including the 60/90 day renewal notices

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
• 3+ years of current line of business underwriting analyst experience
• Technical underwriting support skills including: submission in-take, new and renewal submission management, pricing preparation, risk analysis preparation, underwriting documentation expertise required
• Demonstrated capability of managing all aspects of the underwriting analyst responsibilities
• Knowledge of financial lines products, coverages and policy forms
• Strong organizational skills required to successfully manage underwriting files and workflow process
• Customer focused (You excel at relationship building and customer responsiveness)
• Strong written and oral communication skills (i.e. Your communication style is flexible and adapts to the situation)
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work on a daily basis in response to a dynamic work environment
• Strong sense of accountability (You can work independently and manage to multiple deadlines)
