Payroll Specialist/Staff Accountant

Staff Accountant/Payroll Specialist - Up to $75k Our client, a growing nonprofit organization, is hiring a Staff Accountant – Payroll to join its Finance team. This role will take ownership of biweekly payroll for 300+ employees while supporting key general accounting functions including reconciliations, journal entries, month-end close, audits, and financial reporting. ***100% Onsite Responsibilities: Process accurate and timely biweekly payroll for 300+ employees Review timesheets, overtime, deductions, PTO, allocations, and payroll changes Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and adjustments Prepare payroll journal entries and reconcile payroll-related accounts Reconcile payroll taxes, benefits, garnishments, and other liabilities Assist with month-end/year-end close and annual audit preparation Prepare account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reports Support payroll and accounting system processes and improvements Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required 3–5 years of accounting and payroll experience Experience processing payroll for a mid-sized or large organization Paycom or another payroll/HRIS platform required #J-18808-Ljbffr firstPRO, Inc
