Informssupervisor of safety issues; reports any workplace injury or incidentimmediately. Follows plant quality practices including Good Manufacturing Practices, or GMP’s. Tasks Monitors andmaintainsscheduled production and leads team to achieve planned schedule attainment goals Coordinates troubleshooting efforts so that machine efficiency can be maximized Manages labor costs by maximizing employee productivity Makes recommendations toMaintenance Managerto improve production efficiencies Conducts technical training and mentoring of technicians and other employees Prioritizes and follows-up on designated maintenance activities Communicates and updates other supervisors and managers on productivity of team AssistsMaintenance Managerin the development, implementation, and monitoring of PM program across all areas of the manufacturing plant Directly supervises a team of Maintenance Technicians Carries out supervisory responsibilitiesin accordance withthe organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; conducts operator testing asrequired Communicates daily with other supervisors, Local Supply/Demand Chain Group, andMaintenance Manager Coordinates withMaintenance Manager, the planning and work of special projects, machine modifications, and installations AssistsMaintenance Managerin monitoring, and controlling unnecessary expenses, as well asmaintainadequate inventories of stock materials/spare parts Maintains Work Order database;maintainsmachine histories and logs Balances and coordinates resources by assigning work, employee training activities, employee time-off, overtime, back-up for absent employees, and shift rotations Monitors and reports compliance to policies/budgets/key performance indicators Verifies andvalidatesthat work areas are cleaned and organized at end of shift Other assignments and tasks as directed byMaintenance Manager Qualifications 5+ years of experience in related maintenance activities, with at least 1 to 3 years in a supervisory capacity Mustmaintaina valid driver’s license Mentoring abilities Highly motivated, energetic, and enthusiastic; must be driven to keep busy Ability to work in team environment and communicate information to other employees Understand concepts of plastic manufacturing process More than a job.
