SUMMARY Mortenson is currently seeking a Mechanic that will be responsible for the preparation, handling and supplying of materials. Sets up and performs welds of moderate complexity from blueprints and specifications. RESPONSIBILITIES Load and unload equipment and materials Responsible for the preparation, handling and supplying of materials Sets up and performs welds of moderate complexity from blue prints and specifications Assist engineering with prints and documentation design Conduct daily activities according to documented quality system procedures and work instructions Apply basic problem solving techniques and troubleshooting related to welding component parts Perform general cleanup and clearing of debris Lift up to 50 lbs and walk a minimum of 10 miles a day in various weather conditions All other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS Minimum 4 years of relevant experience Welding Certification (State) (required) Strong teamwork orientation; detail orientation; strong organizational skills Active listening skills and effective communication, including openness to diverse input and feedback Repetitive hand, arm, leg movements Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling up to 50 lbs Position description is not intended to be a comprehensive list of duties and responsibilities; they may change without notice *Lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling over 50 lbs will be done with assistance of another team member or equipment.
