CNA I/II - Rehab Brain Injury Care Assistant

Key Responsibilities

• Provide basic care and support to patients recovering from brain injuries.
• Observe and communicate any abnormal changes in patient health promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and stock supplies to ensure a safe and efficient care environment.
• Perform various duties as assigned by the multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications and Skills

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to follow supervision and work collaboratively within a diverse healthcare team.
• Flexibility in work tasks and scheduling to meet patient care needs.
• Basic understanding of age-specific patient care considerations.
• Familiarity with basic computer operations.
• Physical ability to turn, lift patients, and endure standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout shifts.
• Visual and auditory acuity necessary for patient observation.
• Willingness to work variable shifts and exposure to blood and body fluids with appropriate precautions.

Licenses and Certifications

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential registered with the appropriate state registry.
