We are looking for a full-time Litigation Paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, intelligent, curious, detail-oriented, and genuinely enjoys being part of a team.

You do not need to know everything on day one. We value people who are willing to learn, ask good questions, take ownership of their work, and continually improve.

This is a full-time, in-office position located in Melbourne, Florida.

Office hours:

• Monday–Thursday: 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
• Friday: 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Our office is located on the 7th floor of the One Harbor Place Building in Melbourne, Florida , with beautiful views overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway . We are also located less than a mile from the beach .

It is a beautiful setting, but more importantly, it is a workplace where we believe people should enjoy coming to work and enjoy the people they work alongside.

What You'll Do

The Litigation Paralegal will work closely with attorneys and other members of the team to help keep cases organized, moving forward, and prepared for the next step.

Responsibilities may include:

• Organizing and maintaining litigation files
• Preparing and maintaining case chronologies and timelines
• Monitoring deadlines, calendars, and important case dates
• Assisting with discovery, including organizing documents and preparing discovery responses
• Assisting with deposition preparation
• Preparing documents, exhibits, hearing materials, mediation materials, and trial materials
• Drafting correspondence, pleadings, discovery, summaries, and other documents as directed by attorneys
• Organizing and reviewing large volumes of documents
• Conducting legal research and factual research as directed
• Communicating professionally with clients, attorneys, courts, opposing counsel, vendors, and other professionals
• Scheduling meetings, depositions, hearings, mediations, and other events
• Tracking assignments and following up on outstanding items
• Helping attorneys stay organized and prepared
• Maintaining confidentiality and exercising sound professional judgment
• Assisting teammates when workloads require collaboration and support
• Learning firm procedures, technology, and case-management systems

Experience

Prior litigation paralegal experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person .

Experience in any litigation practice area may be valuable, including:

• Civil litigation
• Business or commercial litigation
• Construction litigation
• Real estate litigation
• Employment litigation
• Insurance defense
• Personal injury
• Contract disputes
• Other litigation or legal practice areas

Experience specifically in business, construction, real estate, or employment litigation is a plus, but not a requirement .

We are interested in the person behind the résumé. A candidate who has excellent organizational skills, judgment, communication skills, and a willingness to learn may be an excellent fit even if their prior experience is in a different area of law.

A Florida Registered Paralegal credential is a plus but is not required.

Technology

Experience with legal technology is helpful, including:

• Microsoft Office
• Adobe Acrobat
• Legal research platforms
• Case management software
• Document management systems
• E-filing systems
• Discovery/e-discovery platforms

You do not need to know every system we use. The ability and willingness to learn new technology is more important than knowing a particular program.

• Florida legal experience
• Experience with legal technology and e-filing
• Paralegal certificate or relevant education
• Experience in business, construction, real estate, or employment litigation
