Family Law Attorney (Hybrid)

Singer Family Law is seeking an Attorney to join our Melbourne, Florida office. We are looking for someone with meaningful courtroom experience who is interested in expanding a practice in family law. Prior family law experience is preferred, but it is not required. We are willing to train the right attorney in the substantive aspects of family law. What is required is litigation experience, including the ability to effectively advocate for clients in the courtroom. This is a hybrid position, with an expectation of working from our Melbourne office 2‑3 days per week, in addition to attending court proceedings, client meetings, and other matters in person as required. What You'll Do As an Attorney at Singer Family Law, you will work directly with clients and our legal team on a range of family law matters. Responsibilities may include: Managing and assisting with an active family law caseload Representing clients at hearings, trials, mediations, depositions, and other proceedings Meeting and communicating directly with clients Developing case strategy and preparing matters for hearing and trial Drafting pleadings, motions, correspondence, and other legal documents Conducting and responding to discovery Performing legal research Negotiating with opposing counsel Managing deadlines and moving cases efficiently toward resolution Collaborating with attorneys, paralegals, and other members of our team What We're Looking For Required: Active membership in The Florida Bar and in good standing Trial experience Meaningful litigation and courtroom experience Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and time‑management abilities Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with clients navigating difficult and often highly personal circumstances Preferred, but not required: Prior experience practicing family law Experience independently managing a caseload Experience with mediations, depositions, discovery, and contested hearings Attorneys with strong trial experience in other areas of practice who are interested in transitioning into family law are encouraged to apply. Work Arrangement This is a hybrid position based in Melbourne, Florida. The Attorney will generally be expected to work in the Melbourne office 2‑3 days per week, with flexibility to work remotely at other times when appropriate.
