Start Date: June 17, 2026

Location: Topeka, Kansas

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (18:45 - 07:15), with option for 36 or 48 hours per week. Weekend coverage required on a variable schedule. 36 hours of orientation provided.

Highlights:

• General medical surgical unit caring for a variety of illnesses and conditions with stable remote telemetry monitored patients
• Patient ratios of 5-6 patients per nurse on a 29-bed unit with daily census of 24
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, physical therapy, and social services
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Adult and geriatric patient populations
• Floating to like units within scope as needed based on facility requirements

Requirements:

• Valid Kansas or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Prior charge nurse experience preferred
• Must reside outside 50-mile local radius
• Proficiency in managing ports, central lines, chest tubes, wound care, IV therapy, telemetry monitoring, blood product administration, and ventilation support
