Account Manager III

Exemption Status: United States of America (Exempt) Pay Range: $71,614 - $95,784 - $119,953 Overview The Account Manager I‑III role is responsible for leading and managing all operational aspects of client servicing and retention. This position ensures consistent customer satisfaction throughout the client lifecycle, from conception and implementation to business relationship management and renewal. Responsibilities Develop, build, and maintain solid client business relationships, including onboarding, orientation, and day‑to‑day operations. Ensure appropriate service levels and operational support by understanding and championing clients’ operating requirements. Proactively improve service performance, resolve issues, and provide timely feedback to internal and external stakeholders. Lead core client team and extended partners to meet client needs during relationship management and renewal phases. Adhere to strict procedural and quality standards, including documentation, testing protocols, claims analysis, and comprehension of client technical specifications. Lead the onboarding of new business for existing clients, managing documentation, sign‑offs, and implementation activities. Use project management skills to track milestones, recognize risk indicators, and update leadership regularly. Educate clients on MedImpact systems and processes to ensure full orientation. Partner with multiple business units to guarantee accurate claims adjudication set‑ups. Analyze claims results, identify discrepancies, and resolve configuration issues. Complete special projects and deliver regular feedback on client requirements and business development opportunities. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or university or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience requirements by level: LevelI: Minimum 2 years account management or related client/customer service experience in healthcare (e.g., insurer, PBM, or pharmacy) plus at least 1 year project management or coordination experience; 2 years internal MedImpact experience may substitute. LevelII: Minimum 4 years account management or related client services experience and at least 4 years project management or coordination experience; preference for PBM or health‑related organizations. LevelIII: Minimum 6 years account management or related client services experience and at least 6 years project management or coordination experience; preference for PBM or health‑related organizations. Familiarity with healthcare state and federal regulations such as Medicaid and CMS. Computer Skills Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook, Visio, and multiple business software applications. Other Skills and Abilities Extremely consultative with clients face‑to‑face. Outstanding numeric, verbal, written, logical, and analytical skills. Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate design solutions in a consultative manner and guide internal partners and clients. Good business acumen and understanding of PBM service processes. Strong decision‑making, problem‑solving, and pressure handling skills. Strong planning, organizing, prioritizing, negotiating, team building, and leadership capabilities. Demonstrated ability to interact positively with clients at all organizational levels. Accountability for achieving service commitments and delivering results under tight timelines. Travel Domestic travel up to 30% of the time.
