Plant Controller

This Plant Controller position oversees financial operations for a manufacturing facility, including standard product costing, inventory management, and manufacturing variance analysis. The role partners with plant leadership to drive financial performance, ensure regulatory compliance, and support continuous improvement initiatives across the organization. A bachelor's degree and 5+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience in manufacturing are required.
Responsibilities
- Oversee standard product costing, manufacturing variances, inventory planning, and related financial reporting
- Develop and maintain standard costs, fixed assets, and reserve calculations for accuracy
- Partner with manufacturing leadership to optimize finance-related operational decisions and safeguard assets
- Drive continuous financial improvement through gross profit, inventory, and spending analysis
- Ensure financial compliance with US GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, and company policies
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred
- 5+ years progressive accounting and finance experience in manufacturing
- Product costing, manufacturing variance analysis, and inventory control expertise
- Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency including pivot tables, macros, and complex formulas
- ERP and EPM system experience
- Strong financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting capabilities
- CPA, MBA, or CMA certification preferred
