You directly own a cohort of K‑3 students while coaching the Guides (Alpha's term for the adults who mentor and inspire the children) who manage their daily growth. You remain hands‑on every day, not overseeing from an office elsewhere. Your typical day alternates between three activities. You review performance data and Coachbot analytics to identify which students and Guides are falling behind. You conduct coaching conversations that leave people with a clear next action rather than general encouragement. And you command the attention of a room full of five‑ to nine‑year‑olds during a workshop on public speaking, focus, or giving and receiving feedback. As you identify what succeeds, you document it. The playbooks you create become the standard that every other Guide implements, so your influence expands from one cohort to the entire level. What You Will Be Doing Coaching Guides and students through performance data, classroom observation, and direct feedback, then holding both accountable to quantifiable goals Leading one‑hour live workshops for K‑3 students on life skills including public speaking, focus, collaboration, resilience, accountability, and giving and receiving feedback Conducting individual and small‑group motivation sessions that link each child's goals and interests to tangible academic progress Creating and refining playbooks that convert your best practices into repeatable systems other Guides can implement consistently Training Guides on those playbooks and modeling excellence in facilitation so standards remain consistent as the team expands What You Won’t Be Doing Providing academic instruction or lecturing from the front of the room; adaptive apps deliver the content while you coach the people Reducing expectations when a student struggles Managing from a distance the way instructional coaches and principals do; you remain embedded with your own cohort daily Owning the entire campus's budget, operations, and parent relationships; a Campus Lead handles that so you can stay focused on student and Guide outcomes Defending traditional teaching methods or adhering to a conventional K‑12 curriculum Executive Coach Key Responsibilities Fulfill Alpha's three promises to every K‑3 student: they love school, learn twice as fast, and develop exceptional life skills and independence.
