Department Political Science Salary 4,500/course Description The Department of Political Science has openings for part‑time, temporary lecturers (adjuncts) to teach first‑year core courses in US and Texas Constitution and Politics and U.S. Government. Successful applicants may also be asked to teach upper‑level undergraduate courses in the areas of political science, depending on student need and applicants’ expertise. Courses are offered in multiple formats, including lecture courses and on‑line instruction. Appointments will be made on a semester‑by‑semester basis, based on student need. Interested and qualified candidates are invited to apply. Qualifications A doctoral degree in political science is preferred, but applicants with a master’s degree in political science or a J.D. will also be considered. Previous college‑level teaching experience is a plus. Hiring Requirements Official transcripts are required for a faculty appointment and will be requested upon selection of the final candidates.
