Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 36 hours guaranteed per week, every other weekend required

Hours per Week: 60

Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians to create care plans that help patients return to optimal health
• Provide compassionate bedside nursing care and carry out medical orders with precision
• Delegate and oversee tasks for nursing assistants and support staff to ensure seamless care delivery
• Evaluate the effectiveness of care plans and adjust as needed for the best patient outcomes
• Lead patient conferences and coordinate discharge planning with the care team
• Mentor new employees and students while fostering a supportive learning environment
• Integrate evidence-based practices into daily nursing care

Qualifications

• Active Michigan nursing license required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Comfortable floating to ED and Step-down units
• Travel experience preferred
• TCAR, TNCC, CCRN, or SCRN certifications are a plus
• Neuro surgical or open heart experience welcomed

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills in ICU settings
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Leadership experience in patient care coordination
• Ability to teach and mentor colleagues and students
• Organized approach to planning and delegation
