Payroll Manager

Due to growth of our contract staffing business Simply Driven is building out a payroll & accounting team. We are seeking a Payroll Manager - responsible for managing payroll processes, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Preferably with experience in high volume recruiting/staffing environments.Read the overview of this opportunity to understand what skills, including and relevant soft skills and software package proficiencies, are required.Key Duties & ResponsibilitiesOversee accurate and timely payroll processing across pay groups and schedules.Ensure compliance with payroll tax laws, including federal Form 941, state withholding, FUTA, and SUTA.Manage garnishments, deductions, benefits, and insurance plans.Review and approve payroll runs, resolve exceptions, and reconcile payroll totals.Coordinate payroll audits and respond to findings.Maintain payroll records, prepare reports, and monitor compliance alerts.Additional knowledge in Unemployment; Workers Compensation; FMLA; ChildSupport / Withholdings; ACA / Insurance & Benefit CalculationsRequired QualificationsAssociate's degree in accounting, finance, business, or HR (preferred).Minimum of 5 years of payroll experienceStrong knowledge of multistate or multijurisdiction payroll compliance.Certifications such as Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) are strongly preferred.Essential Skills & CompetenciesTechnical Skills: End To End payroll processing, tax law knowledge, system administration.Analytical Skills: Auditing payroll data, analyzing payroll costs and trends. xhyhwjd Leadership: Team management, cross department collaboration.Staffing Industry: Current or Prior experience in the Staffing Industry is a plus
