Senior Estimator

Elliot is a full-service electrical contractor specializing in overhead and underground distribution, transmission, substations, lighting, traffic signaling, utility locating and industrial/commercial services. Job Description Davis H. Elliot is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for a variety of electrical and telecommunications construction projects. Working closely with project managers, vendors, subcontractors, and clients, you will play a critical role in securing successful projects and supporting operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Lead estimating efforts for large, complex, and high-profile projects Develop comprehensive labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor cost estimates Review drawings, specifications, contracts, and project requirements Evaluate project risks and develop pricing strategies Prepare and present bid reviews to management Lead, coach, and support estimators and estimating co-ops Build and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and industry partners Participate in project handoff and pre-construction planning activities Assist with estimating process improvements, standards, and database development Track market trends and analyze historical cost data to improve estimate accuracy Qualifications 7+ years of construction estimating experience Extensive knowledge of electrical construction systems, methods, and industry standards Demonstrated success estimating large commercial, industrial, utility, or infrastructure projects Proficiency in Accubid and Microsoft Office applications Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills Ability to mentor others and lead estimating teams Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities Today, we are listed among Engineering News-Records Top 150 Specialty Contracting firms.
