Neonatal Intensive Care Unit - Respiratory Therapist

Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 3 months of Meditech experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - HCA - North TX Division.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - Critical care management for adult vent patients. - Experience with vent weaning guidelines. - Trach care management. - Emergency and standard airway care for all patient population. - EKG procedure. - Blood gas analysis and technique to draw ABG sample. - RT medication administration. - RT plan of care, assessment and progress evaluation. - Oxygen therapy. - Code Blue, Trauma, STEMI response. - Documentation and charge for therapy provided.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - NICU experience preferred.

Unit Details: - Patient ratios: 1st RT (NICU, MST and/or PCU); 2nd RT (ER, ICU, MST, or PCU), subject to change based on acuity. - Uses ventilators (servo U, PB 980, MR1 transport vent, C1 Hamilton Medical), Bipap (V60, C1), F&P bubble CPAP, and F&P HFNC. - Typical procedures include blood gas analysis, bedside bronchoscopy assist, emergency and routine airway management, and EKGs.

Shift & Scheduling: - Rotating weekends.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW : This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
