Job Description Position: Molecular Technologist Location: Milford, PA Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 – 5:30 Responsibilities Perform pre‑analytical, analytical, and post‑analytical molecular laboratory testing. Accession and process patient specimens for molecular diagnostics. Perform nucleic acid extraction, quantification, and sample preparation. Conduct Next‑Generation Sequencing (NGS) workflows and related testing procedures. Analyze laboratory data and maintain accurate patient testing records. Perform quality control procedures and ensure adherence to laboratory quality standards. Document instrument maintenance, calibrations, and corrective actions. Participate in proficiency testing, inspections, and quality assurance initiatives. Troubleshoot technical and operational issues affecting test performance. Maintain laboratory inventory and supply levels. Communicate technical concerns and findings to laboratory leadership. Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant laboratory environment. Train and mentor laboratory staff as appropriate based on experience level. Support additional laboratory initiatives and projects as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical, Biological, Clinical, or Medical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology from an accredited institution. Experience working in a CLIA‑certified molecular laboratory. Knowledge of molecular laboratory techniques, including: Next‑Generation Sequencing (NGS), PCR, qPCR, and RT‑PCR Nucleic acid extraction and quantification Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) CLIA and CAP regulations Laboratory Developed Tests (LDTs) Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism. Reliable transportation. ASCP Molecular Certification required for Level II and Level III candidates. What We Offer Compensation: Starting $43.26/hr, based on experience and education.
