Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Long Term Care

CNA – Nursing Assistant

Schedule: FT Nights (5 x 7.5s/week), EOW, Holiday required

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 37.5 hours/week

Requirements:

• NYS Nursing Assistant Certification
• BLS (AHA or RQI only)
• One (1) year of previous Long-Term Care experience

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) in accordance with their care plans, including hygiene, grooming, dressing, and toileting needs.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for residents, including responding promptly to call lights and alarms.
• Support residents' nutritional needs, including meal delivery and feeding assistance while honoring their preferences.
• Implement rehabilitation needs per care plans, including range of motion exercises and proper body alignment.
• Report any changes in residents' physical or emotional status to the supervising nurse in a timely manner.

Compliance / Notes:

Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is anticipated, involving potential contact with blood, body fluids, or tissues.
