Transportation Engineer

Alexander Associates are representing an established engineering consultancy that’s looking to add an experienced Transportation Engineer/Roadway Engineer PE to their Dallas-Fort Worth team. This position will be heavily involved in the design and delivery of TxDOT, municipal and regional transportation infrastructure projects across North Texas. Salary: $105,000-$145,000 DOE + Benefits Job Specifications: Support the design and delivery of roadway and transportation projects, including: Highway, arterial, interchange and municipal roadway projects Roadway geometry, alignments and corridor design Horizontal and vertical alignments Grading, drainage and associated roadway infrastructure Signing, pavement markings and traffic control plans Prepare PS&E packages, engineering calculations, plans, specifications and cost estimates Support projects from schematic and preliminary design through final construction documents Coordinate with drainage, traffic, structural and other technical disciplines Work on projects for TxDOT, municipalities and other transportation agencies Coordinate with clients, agencies, contractors and project stakeholders Review engineering plans and provide technical guidance to junior engineers Support project managers with schedules, budgets and engineering deliverables Key Requirements: 5+ years’ experience within Roadway/Transportation engineering Texas PE license, or ability to obtain through reciprocity Strong background in roadway and highway design Previous experience delivering TxDOT and/or municipal transportation projects Experience with roadway geometry, grading, drainage and PS&E development Proficiency with MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer Strong understanding of TxDOT design standards and specifications preferred Experience coordinating multidisciplinary transportation projects B.S. in Civil Engineering or related Engineering discipline #J-18808-Ljbffr
