Oilfield Electrician

Oilfield Electrician Location: Jal, NM and surrounding areas. Schedule: 5/2 rotation (5 days on, 2 days off). Hours: 10‑12 hour days; mandatory rotational weekend call‑outs. Pay: $35‑55 per hour based on experience. Responsibilities Continual field maintenance and troubleshooting of circuit breakers, limit switches, overload relays, motor starters, and electrical control circuits in an upstream environment. Understand and work within tank battery facilities. Troubleshoot production instrumentation, electronics, and electrical components. Troubleshoot pump panels at tank battery facilities. Install, repair, or replace 120V AC/DC motors, hydraulic and gas electrical controls. Work with control circuits in PLC switches. Provide field instrumentation support for all process equipment (pneumatic, hydraulic, electro‑mechanical, electronic systems). Install, repair, or replace electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, lighting, and alternate electrical parts. Test electrical equipment and parts for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance. Use megger and multimeter. Qualifications Minimum 4 years of electrician experience. Minimum 2 years of upstream experience. Experience troubleshooting motor starters and VFDs/VSDs. Ability to perform electrical equipment installations, inspections, and troubleshooting to maximize production and reliability. Familiar with installing, swapping, and testing single‑to‑three‑phase motors. Test and commission integrated and non‑integrated electrical systems (switchgear, network relays). Use reference documentation to size conductors, overload, and short‑circuit protection. Operate and perform activities in accordance with applicable regulations and procedures (Federal, State, Local). Willing to undergo background check, driving record check, DOT drug screening, and physical examination. Journeyman electrician license preferred.
