Work Schedule This position operates on a 7-days on / 7-days off schedule from Thursday night to Thursday morning, with hours from 8:00 PM to 7:30 AM. The pharmacist will work as the sole pharmacist in the facility during the night shift, supported by certified pharmacy technicians. Job Responsibilities Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care, including monitoring and evaluating the appropriateness of medication therapy. Review and accurately dispense medications, ensuring compliance with established protocols. Communicate relevant drug information to patients, families, and healthcare providers. Participate in managing drug therapy during medical emergencies, providing necessary medication and information. Coordinate the activities of pharmacy technicians to meet patient needs effectively. Maintain departmental policies and procedures aligned with regulatory standards. Qualifications Education: Bachelor of Science or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) from an accredited College of Pharmacy. Licensure: Must possess a valid Ohio Pharmacy License in good standing. Experience: A minimum of one year of hospital pharmacy experience is preferred. Skills Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders, including patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Excellent analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail in medication management. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Physical Requirements Medium work capacity is required, including the ability to exert up to 20-50 pounds of force occasionally and up to 10-25 pounds of force frequently.
