Job Description
TITLE: Registered Nurse - Medical-Surgical / Telemetry

SCHEDULE: 3 x 12-hour nights

ASSIGNMENT DETAILS:
- Patient Ratio: 1:6
- Daily Census: 19
- Private Rooms: 18 + 1 Semi-private

REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 2 years RN experience
- Experience with a patient ratio of 6 patients
- Required Certifications: NIHSS, BLS
- Experience with charting system Epic required
- Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation/management skills
- Competence in Med-Surg care including IV starts/maintenance, PICC/central line care, and blood product administration
- Wound care/Vac, ostomy, and feeding tube management skills
- Experience in pre/post hemodialysis and renal failure care
- Stroke/neurosurgery care experience

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with a range of medical-surgical and telemetry needs.
- Monitor patient condition and respond to changes in status or emergencies.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care.
- Administer medications and IV therapy as needed.
- Participate in rapid response and code team activities as required.
- Document all patient interactions and care provided in the electronic medical record.

COMPLIANCE / NOTES:
- Orientation: 16 hours
- Weekend requirement: Half of scheduled shifts are on weekends
