Medical Procedure Scheduler Company: J.Morrissey Location: Middletown Job Type: Temporary-to-Hire or Permanent Schedule: MondayFriday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM Pay Rate: $24$25/hour, based on experience Position Overview A specialty outpatient facility in Middletown, CT is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Medical Procedure Scheduler to join their team. This role is responsible for coordinating patient procedures and surgeries while ensuring all preoperative requirements are communicated and completed accurately. Responsibilities Schedule patient procedures and surgeries at the clinic, ambulatory surgery center, or hospital Coordinate appointments and maintain accurate scheduling records Advise patients regarding surgical and financial preoperative requirements Obtain and verify required documentation, authorizations, and insurance information Communicate effectively with physicians, clinical staff, hospitals, and surgery centers Ensure all scheduling information is updated promptly and accurately in the system Provide excellent customer service and support to patients throughout the scheduling process Qualifications Previous medical scheduling or surgical scheduling experience preferred Knowledge of medical terminology and preoperative processes Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to multitask and manage a high-volume workload Experience with EMR/EHR systems preferred Professional, patient-focused demeanor Benefits Opportunity for permanent employment Stable weekday schedule with no weekends Competitive pay based on experience Collaborative specialty outpatient environment
