Hourly salary of $24.84-26.35/hourCenturion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive services to the Illinois Department of Corrections. We are currently seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team at Shawnee Correctional Center in Vienna, Illinois.The Dental Assistant works under the direct supervision of the Dentist and/or Dental Hygienist in chairside dentistry in a correctional setting. Essential duties include the following:Preparing and sterilizing dental instrumentsPreparing and maintaining the dental operatoryOperating radiographic equipmentAdministrative tasks as neededHigh school diploma or GED equivalent requiredCompletion of a technical school program in dental assisting or six (6) months of experience as a Dental Assistant requiredDental Assistant license or ability to obtain one requiredCertification as an expanded duty dental assistant preferred; if the candidate does not possess a current certificate, one must be obtained in the first year of employmentCertification and/or previous experience performing dental x-rays preferredMust show/obtain current Purified Protein Derivative (PPD) documentation for tuberculosis screeningMust be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background checkShift: 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. Tuesday - Friday #J-18808-Ljbffr
