Elder in Residence - Student Counseling & Cultural Outreach
The California State University
The Elder in Residence position at The California State University, Sacramento, supports the Esak’timá Native Student Resource Center. The Elder meets weekly with students to determine needs and how to meet them, and also coordinates with tribal representatives to ensure center programs respond to student needs.
The Elder helps staff with event coordination and facilitates Talking Circles and Cultural Workshops, contributing to culturally responsive programming.
