Assistant Manager Supply Chain Management (Culinary)

Assistant Manager, Culinary Supply Management Employment: Full-time, Exempt Industry: Restaurant / Hospitality Schedule: Standard business hours; occasional flexible hours and weekends as needed Travel: Occasional travel to stores, suppliers, and events Summary Our client is seeking an Assistant Manager, Culinary Supply Management to support purchasing, inventory control, vendor coordination, and cost management for multiple restaurant locations. This role works closely with chefs, restaurant operations teams, and vendors to ensure food ingredients, beverages, and supplies are available on time, meet quality standards, and are managed cost-effectively. This is a hands-on position with opportunities to grow into a higher-level supply management or sourcing role. Key Responsibilities Support purchasing and procurement of food ingredients, beverages, and restaurant supplies Monitor inventory levels and help prevent shortages and excess inventory Coordinate monthly inventory counts with restaurant and kitchen teams Maintain purchasing records, pricing history, and vendor information Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, deliveries, and product issues Support purchasing forecasts based on usage, demand, and seasonal trends Work with Accounts Payable to resolve purchase order and invoice discrepancies Analyze purchasing and inventory data to identify cost-saving and waste-reduction opportunities Track purchasing budgets and monitor variances Prepare purchasing, inventory, and cost-related reports Visit restaurant locations and suppliers as needed Support compliance with food safety, sourcing, and internal company policies Assist with training and onboarding of supply or purchasing team members as needed Qualifications Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Purchasing, Business, Hospitality, or related field preferred 1-3 years of purchasing, procurement, supply, or inventory experience Experience in restaurants, hospitality, food service, or food distribution preferred Experience working with vendors and supporting purchasing activities Knowledge of inventory control and reconciliation Experience with ERP, inventory management, or POS systems Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to work accurately and manage multiple priorities Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting upscale or premium restaurant operations Experience with imported seafood or specialty food products Business-level Japanese strongly preferred Supply chain or purchasing certification is a plus Experience with restaurant invoice, AP, or food-cost management systems is a plus Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance PTO and paid holidays 401(k) Professional development and training support #J-18808-Ljbffr Pasona N A, Inc.
