Wire Cutter

We are looking for a Wire Cutter to join our Platt team in Sumner, WA! The Wire Cutter is responsible for efficiently and accurately fulfilling orders for wire and cable cuts utilizing material handling equipment and wire reeling / coiling machinery. Ensures wire/cable is stored, staged, and cut in a manner that meets company standards for safety, security, accuracy, and productivity. May be required to fill in for other warehouse roles.

Qualifications

What You'll Need

• 1+ years of wire cutting experience preferred
• Prior warehouse or distribution center experience a plus
• Certification to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment preferred. If required to make deliveries:
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must pass a pre-employment and annual review of their Motor Vehicle Record
• Must obtain verification of non-expired medical certificate as required by law within 60 days of hire
• Must not have had a suspended drivers' license for a traffic accident/violation within the past 3 years
• Must not have any at fault accidents in the past 3 years
• High School or GED - Preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Knowledge of Radio Frequency scanning devices preferred
• Must be willing to be trained on all the following material handling equipment: forklift, stand-up reach truck, High-Reach Narrow-Aisle, Stand-Up Rider pallet Jack that conform to OSHA safety training requirements
• Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and customers
• Ability to handle basic issues and problems
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations to accurately complete job tasks
• Ability to organize and prioritize job tasks and requirements
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to work overtime as needed
• Basic computer knowledge

For the state of Washington only, the pay range is $26.00 to $31.00, depending upon qualifications, experience, and other considerations permitted by law. Commission/Bonus Plan: Platt Distribution Center Bonus Plan.
