Key Grant Accountant Responsibilities Manage the day-to-day financial administration of grants, ensuring accurate tracking, reporting, and compliance across multiple funding sources. Develop and maintain grant accounting records, financial reports, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and transparency. Work closely with program and operational leaders to monitor spending, forecast funding needs, and optimize grant utilization. Grant Accountant will assist with monthly and annual financial closing processes, supporting accurate reporting and audit readiness. Serve as a key resource for grant compliance, audit support, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance financial operations and accountability. Grant Accountant Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 3 or more years of accounting experience, with nonprofit and grant accounting experience considered a strong plus. Solid understanding of grant compliance, funding restrictions, budget monitoring, and cost allocation practices. Familiarity with MIP Fund Accounting software preferred. Strong Excel and financial reporting skills, with the ability to work confidently with financial data.
