We recognize the importance of each team member's contributions and provide a supportive atmosphere where your efforts are acknowledged and rewarded when we reach our goals.What You Will Do as a Staff Tax AccountantPrepare a wide range of tax returns, including corporate, partnership, and individual returns, demonstrating attention to detail and accuracy.Conduct tax planning and research to identify opportunities for tax savings and minimize tax liabilities for our clients.Collaborate with clients to gather necessary tax-related information, address inquiries, and provide exceptional client service.Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and incorporate any relevant updates into tax strategies.Assist in the resolution of tax-related issues and inquiries from tax authorities on behalf of our clients.Contribute to the development and improvement of tax processes and procedures, identifying opportunities for enhanced efficiency and effectiveness.Build and maintain strong relationships with senior team members.Participate in SMG ABA team-building and other firm events/effortsQualifications and Attributes You Will NeedPossess a minimum of 2 years of experience in tax preparation and planning, preferably in a public accounting firm.Intermediate knowledge of tax rules and regulations.Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA license is a plus.Proficient in tax software and accounting systems, with a good understanding of technology tools used in tax preparation and research.Great analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex tax scenarios and provide innovative solutions.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate tax concepts to clients and colleagues.Client-focused mindset, dedicated to delivering exceptional service and further developing & maintaining long-term client relationships.Detail-oriented and deadline-driven, ensuring accuracy and timely completion of tax deliverables.Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
