Staff Accountant

Full-Time | ~$60,000/year | Construction Industry

About the Role

For 20 years, we've built a reputation as a trusted name in construction — known for quality work, long-standing client relationships, and a strong presence in the local industry. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting, job costing, and billing, working closely with ownership, our outside CPA firm, project managers, and clients' banks.

Must-Haves

• Construction industry accounting experience

• Proficient in QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online

• Experience with job cost accounting and WIP (Work-in-Progress) reporting

 

Responsibilities

• Perform daily data entry and maintain records in QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online

• Maintain job cost accounting and prepare WIP reports

• Partner with Project Managers on client billing and invoicing

• Coordinate with clients and client banks on draws, payments, and lien waivers

• Reconcile accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank accounts

• Support month-end/year-end close and work directly with our outside CPA firm

• Assist ownership with financial reporting as needed

  Skills

• 2-3+ years of general accounting experience

• Strong data entry accuracy and attention to detail

• Comfortable communicating with PMs, clients, banks, and CPAs
