This position offers a compelling chance to engage with diverse populations, delivering care in outpatient settings while occasionally supporting inpatient needs. Here, your expertise in childhood speech development, adult neurological disorders, or elderly cognitive rehabilitation will be appreciated and nurtured.
Conduct thorough evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics with evidence-based assessments and observational techniques.
Design customized treatment plans aimed at fulfilling immediate objectives and addressing long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
Deliver targeted one-on-one speech therapy sessions centering on language, fluency, voice, and swallowing mechanics.
Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and families to ensure integrative care approaches.
Educate patients and their families, empowering them to facilitate progress beyond the clinical environment.
Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapies, maintaining seamless transitions in patient care.
Maintain organized and accurate records in compliance with medical guidelines.
Engage in ongoing professional development through education and collaboration with colleagues.
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.
Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of start date.
Expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities for age groups, including deep knowledge of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
Strong interpersonal communication skills for rapport-building with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Ability to tailor therapy techniques to accommodate a range of cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Sound clinical judgment combined with exceptional problem-solving capabilities.
Comfort and familiarity with electronic health records and documentation protocols.
