Registered Nurse (RN) - MICU

Registered Nurse - Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)

Shift: Days

Requirements:

• Valid RN license (Oklahoma or Compact)
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• 2 years of experience preferred
• Previous travel experience required
• Charting system experience: Epic (preferred)
• Clinical skills: Ventilator management, airway suctioning, titration of vasoactive/cardiac drips, central line/arterial line management, ABG interpretation, stroke management, blood product administration, IV management, and procedural sedation support.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Medical Intensive Care Unit.
• Monitor patient conditions and administer medications as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Utilize advanced technology to assess patient status and adjust care as necessary.
• Conduct health assessments and maintain accurate patient records.

Compliance / Notes:

• Orientation: 48 hours
• Travelers expected to float to like units within their scope as needed.
• Pre-approved time off: 1 day (must be listed at the time of submittal).
