GRILL COOK (FULL TIME)

GRILL COOK – Full Time Location: Bishop O'Dowd – 9500 Stearns Avenue, Oakland, CA 94605. Schedule: Monday through Friday, hours may vary. Pay Rate: $23.25 per hour. Job Summary This role prepares food and serves customers at the grill station in accordance with federal, state, and corporate standards to deliver high quality service. Essential Duties Takes orders from customers and prepares items with short preparation times. Completes orders from steam tables and serves customers at multiple stations. Serves customers efficiently and friendly following established service steps, ensuring food temperature and appearance meet standards, and tastes all prepared items. Uses ticket‑collection procedures during service and maintains service records. Applies approved recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures, and portion control. Moves pans, kettles, and trays between workstations, stove, and refrigerator following safety standards. Stores foods in designated areas, following wrapping, dating, and rotation procedures. Cleans, sanitizes, and maintains all assigned work areas, equipment, and utensils to meet sanitation standards. Resolves customer concerns and reports information to supervisors. Attends in‑service and safety meetings. Maintains good relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers. Performs the job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Previous grill cooking and/or food service experience required. Perks Willing to train!
