We are looking for a detail-oriented Human Resources Clerk to support day-to-day HR operations for a government organization in Stanwood, Washington. This Long-term Contract position focuses on maintaining accurate employee records, assisting with benefits and leave processes, and helping ensure HR activities are handled efficiently and in compliance with established procedures. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable managing administrative tasks in a structured environment.

Responsibilities:
• Maintain and organize employee files, HR documents, and related records to ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and easy retrieval.
• Assist with benefits-related administrative tasks, including processing documentation, answering routine employee questions, and tracking enrollment materials.
• Support leave administration by updating records, monitoring documentation, and helping coordinate leave requests in accordance with policy.
• Review HR forms and supporting paperwork for completeness and follow up on missing or incorrect information.
• Enter, update, and verify personnel data in HR systems and records while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
• Respond to routine internal inquiries regarding HR processes, documentation requirements, and general administrative procedures.
• Prepare reports, correspondence, and other HR-related materials to support departmental operations and recordkeeping needs.
• Help maintain compliance with records retention standards and established government HR procedures.• Experience providing administrative support in a human resources or office environment.
• Working knowledge of records management practices and the ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
• Familiarity with benefits administration and leave tracking processes.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Proficiency in data entry, document review, and maintaining detailed records.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for responding to employee and department inquiries.
• Ability to work effectively in a structured, process-driven environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional HR-related training is a plus.
