Procurement Data Analyst

Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Specialist II, Procurement to join our procurement team. This role is essential for managing and optimizing our procurement processes, ensuring the acquisition of high-quality materials and services at competitive prices. The Specialist II, Procurement will work closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to support operational needs and drive cost efficiencies. Key Responsibilities Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers to meet company requirements. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with organizational goals. Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and procurement data to drive decision‑making and improve sourcing strategies. Purchase Orders: Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including the preparation and issuance of purchase orders, tracking order status, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. Cost Management: Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable conditions. Conduct cost analyses and implement cost control measures to optimize procurement expenditures. Quality Assurance: Ensure that procured materials and services meet quality standards and specifications. Address and resolve any quality issues or discrepancies with suppliers promptly. Inventory Coordination: Collaborate with inventory and supply chain teams to align procurement activities with inventory needs and production schedules. Monitor inventory levels to prevent stockouts and manage supplier lead times. Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, procurement regulations, and industry standards. Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and documentation for auditing and reporting purposes. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance procurement efficiency and effectiveness. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in procurement practices. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Procurement, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CPP, CPSM) are advantageous. Experience: Minimum of 1‑3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, with a strong understanding of sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier management. Skills: Excellent negotiation and analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate supplier performance and make data‑driven decisions. Proficiency: In procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word). Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with suppliers, stakeholders, and team members. Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in managing procurement processes and documentation. Problem‑Solving: Proven problem‑solving abilities, with the capability to address and resolve procurement‑related issues efficiently.
