As a Scrub Tech, you’ll help maintain a sterile environment in the operating room, support surgeons and nurses during procedures, and play an essential role in ensuring safe and successful surgical outcomes.**Responsibilities*** Maintain a sterile field and uphold all principles of aseptic technique* Assist the surgical team by passing instruments, supplies, sutures, and equipment* Prepare equipment, instruments, and operating rooms before procedures* Assist with scrubbing, gowning, and gloving for the surgical team* Prepare dressings and assist with postoperative bandage application* Operate, adjust, and monitor surgical and sterile processing equipment* Position and prepare patients for surgery while ensuring safety and comfort* Participate in instrument, sponge, and sharps counts* Clean and restock the operating room following procedures* Support compliance with accreditation and departmental standards* Maintain confidentiality of patient and center information* Assist with supply and equipment maintenance* Document accurately and in a timely manner* Respond quickly to changing patient or surgical needs* Perform additional duties as assigned**Skills and Abilities*** Ability to perform under pressure in a fast‐paced surgical environment* Ability to recognize and respond to equipment alarms* Strong listening and communication skills* Basic computer proficiency (e.g., Microsoft Word)* Problem‐solving and conflict‐resolution abilities* Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently* Strong understanding of sterile technique and surgical procedures* Visual acuity for detailed work and the ability to distinguish color* Logical reasoning and sound judgment skills**Qualifications*** Completion of a post‐high school Surgical Technology program* CST or CORT certification required* One year of experience in a surgical setting* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferredJoin Our TeamIf you’re passionate about surgical care, enjoy working in a high‐energy team environment, and want to make a meaningful impact every day, we’d love to meet you.
