We are seeking a Senior Project Manager in Boston to lead life science projects, shaping the future of research and development across the country. Key Responsibilities 5+ years of development and project management experience within the life sciences sector Bachelor's degree or higher in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Urban Planning, Real Estate Finance, or a related field Manage successful projects, consistently meeting or exceeding client expectations and deadlines Review and evaluate qualitative program aspects with the owner, verifying program conformance with project goals Establish partnerships and act as a liaison between the client and design and construction professionals Initiate and manage procurement of design, construction, and consultant services Draft, review, communicate, negotiate, and enforce contractual documents for design, construction, and consultant professionals Direct and monitor project budget and schedule, updating and maintaining web‑based project controls Create meaningful analysis of budgets and schedules and their effect on financial objectives Oversee and review the development of architectural and engineering construction drawings and bid documents Establish, direct, and document project meetings Engage with clients, city officials, architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants to present project status and anticipate issues Anticipate potential changes to the budget or schedule, providing solutions through review and analysis of changes when presented Organize and review value engineering alternatives with the owner Determine requirements and facilitate procurement of peer reviews and specialty consultants Motivate and direct internal resources (Assistant Project Managers and Project Managers) as required Oversee the architect in reviewing contractor and vendor onsite activities to verify contractual compliance with design specifications, schedules, and workmanship standards Authorize issuance of contracts and purchase orders, and develop/process scheduled progress draw packages for payment Observe and report on construction processes and related issues Manage the project close‑out process to successful completion Represent PMA in networking and business development opportunities, and assist PMA leadership in project proposals and subsequent interviews Key Values and Skills Motivated self‑starter with a positive attitude Operate with high integrity and business ethics, thriving in a collaborative team environment Maintain a polished presence and excellent verbal and written communication skills Possess strong interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence Exercise enthusiasm and curiosity, committed to seeking creative solutions Practice diligence and discipline to refine options into optimal outcomes Exude confidence and courage to cultivate yourself as a leader Value fairness, understanding it is fundamental to transparency and consensus building Benefits Part of a respected company with high‑caliber clients and projects A workplace that practices its values consistently every day Culture that respects work/life balance Competitive salary and bonus program Formal and informal training, leadership development, mentoring programs, and other opportunities for growth and advancement Quality benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurances, education reimbursement, and more The salary range for this position is $150,000–180,000 annually; the base pay offered may vary depending on location, experience, skills, relevant education, and training.
