Sky Staff is currently hiring a Building Facilities Technician on behalf of our client in Ontario, CA. We are seeking a dependable, mechanically inclined, and proactive individual to support facility maintenance, warehouse operations, company vehicles, and overall workplace functionality.

This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who takes initiative, enjoys troubleshooting, and can work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing and warehouse environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on facility and production equipment.
• Conduct minor building repairs, including replacing light bulbs, hardware repairs, fixture adjustments, and general maintenance.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout warehouse, production, office, and outdoor areas.
• Sweep, vacuum, remove debris, empty trash receptacles, and assist with facility housekeeping.
• Assist with inventory counts and organization of maintenance and warehouse supplies.
• Remove and properly dispose of trash, recyclables, and scrap materials.
• Maintain dumpster areas and prepare for scheduled pickups.
• Clean company vehicles, both interior and exterior.
• Perform basic vehicle inspections, including checking tire condition, fluid levels, fuel levels, and cleanliness.
• Run company errands and transport materials, supplies, and equipment as needed.
• Operate forklifts and other equipment when authorized and trained.
• Identify and report safety hazards, maintenance concerns, and equipment issues.
• Support warehouse, production, office, and sales departments as needed.
• Perform additional duties based on operational requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of facilities maintenance, building maintenance, industrial maintenance, or related experience preferred.
• Mechanically inclined with the ability to perform basic troubleshooting and repairs.
• Experience using hand tools and power tools safely.
• Light welding experience preferred.
• Forklift certification or at least 2 years of forklift operating experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Must be eligible to operate company vehicles.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements

• Lift and carry up to 45 pounds independently.
• Frequently stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and lift throughout the workday.
• Work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and warehouse conditions.
• Safely use ladders, hand tools, power tools, and other equipment.
• Wear required PPE when necessary.
