Patient Services Specialist Location Hilliard, OH Pay $18.00/hour Work Environment Busy outpatient therapy office supporting patient registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and front desk operations. Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced setting and flexible to support multiple Hilliard-area office locations as needed. This position focuses on patient registration, scheduling, insurance verification, copay collection, and providing exceptional customer service in a busy outpatient healthcare setting. Healthcare experience is preferred, but strong customer service professionals with a desire to learn are encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and professionally Guide new patients through registration paperwork Check patients in and out Answer and manage incoming phone calls Schedule appointments and conduct patient follow-up Verify insurance benefits and obtain authorizations Collect copays and process patient payments Maintain accurate patient demographic information Review daily charges and assist with office closeout procedures Utilize EMR systems to manage patient information Required Skills & Experience Minimum 1 year of medical front desk, general front desk, or customer service experience Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent customer service both in person and over the phone Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Strong computer proficiency Reliable transportation and attendance Flexibility to work at multiple office locations within the Hilliard area Top Skills – Must Haves: Customer Service Medical or Healthcare Experience Front Desk Experience Insurance Verification Patient Registration EMR Experience Copay Collection Nice-to-Have Skills: Medical front desk experience Healthcare call center experience Insurance authorization experience Knowledge of patient demographics workflows Experience with Therapy Source or Rehab Toolkit EMR systems Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hilliard, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
