Key Responsibilities\n

The Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist will undertake a variety of critical tasks, including:

• Comprehensively evaluating clients to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of their symptoms associated with mood disorders.

• Co-creating individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, ensuring that their goals and preferences are at the forefront of the therapeutic process.

• Employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to facilitate effective interventions.

• Educating clients and their families about diagnosis, treatment options, and self-care strategies, fostering a deeper understanding of mood disorders.
\n
• Monitoring client progress and making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on evolving needs.
\n
• Collaborating closely with psychiatrists and medical professionals to provide integrated care, thereby enhancing overall treatment efficacy.

• Staying updated with the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatment to continually refine therapeutic approaches.

• Maintaining accurate and confidential clinical documentation in compliance with ethical and legal standards.

• Participating actively in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development.

• Advocating for clients' mental health needs and working to address barriers to accessing care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses on providing care to diverse groups, including but not limited to, individuals dealing with mood disorders, homeless individuals, refugees, and survivors of domestic abuse. The therapist will have the opportunity to engage with clients from various backgrounds, address systemic challenges, and implement culturally competent care strategies.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• Possess a current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
\n
• Hold a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
\n
• Demonstrate exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster a secure therapeutic relationship with clients.

• Exhibit empathy and a nonjudgmental demeanor toward the experiences and challenges faced by clients.

• Possess strong organizational and time-management skills to effectively manage caseloads and administrative duties.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
