Job Details Prior surgical cardiac experience preferred. Periop 101 completion preferred. Functions effectively within nursing and inter‑professional teams, fostering open communication, mutual respect, and shared decision‑making to achieve quality patient care. Creates an environment of belonging and inclusion, demonstrating problem‑solving and conflict‑resolution skills, and serves as a preceptor to staff members. Actively participates in safety and quality improvement committees, gives and receives feedback and integrates appropriate changes into practice. Minimum Qualifications Specialized Diploma Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. Patient‑and Family‑Centered Practice knowledge, including conveying respect and collaboration. Cultural awareness and ability to respect diverse backgrounds. Effective communication skills and partnership language with patients and families. Patient assessment and care skills, including implementation of treatment plans. Patient and designated care partner education techniques. Medication administration and prescription knowledge. Discharge planning skills. Assessment and diagnosis using nursing tools. Health information documentation skills. BLS – Basic Life Support – American Heart Association. Registered Nurse licensure in PA, NY, or NJ. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree BSN or completion of BSN or appropriate advanced degree within 3 years of hire strongly preferred. One year previous experience as an RN in an acute care setting strongly preferred. Physical Demands Lift and carry 40-50 lbs. Push/pull patients on bed, stretcher, and lateral transfers. Frequent to continuous standing/walking. May perform kneeling, bending, squatting, and CPR.
