About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief for the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine. The successful candidate will be an accomplished academic physician leader with a growth mindset, ready to lead a well-established division with a strong foundation in clinical care, research, and education. This role involves shaping the division's future, expanding its national prominence, and leading a team of 14 faculty investigators and clinicians, 14 pulmonary/critical care fellows, and three sleep medicine fellows. The Chief will be responsible for establishing a compelling vision, strengthening relationships with clinical partners, recruiting and developing outstanding faculty, and expanding the division's clinical and research footprint. Applicants for the Chief position must be collaborative, visible, and inspirational leaders, combining academic achievement with administrative effectiveness and a deep commitment to patient-centered care. The ideal candidate will have a distinguished record in research and clinical practice, experience in leading complex academic programs, and the ability to unite the division's members around a shared vision of excellence. A strong background in the major areas of pulmonary and critical care medicine, including COPD, pulmonary fibrosis, respiratory infections, cystic fibrosis, pulmonary hypertension, sleep disorders, lung cancer, and critical care outcomes research, is essential. The role requires an M.D. or D.O. degree, completion of postgraduate medical education in the relevant fields, and qualifications for appointment at the Associate Professor level or above.
