About the Position

Job Title

Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (12-Hour Nights)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 12-Hour Night Shifts | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Float throughout PCU-level units, with the majority of time spent in ED overflow, caring for patients at PCU level or below
• Manage a diverse patient population including respiratory distress, ESRD, AKI, COPD, GI bleeds, sepsis, general post-op, CVAs, ETOH, overdose, CHF, post-Cath or IR, and CIWA patients
• Perform cardiac rhythm interpretation and manage invasive lines, IV medication titration, trachs, BiPAP, ostomies, general drains, chest tubes, and lumbar drains
• Provide care for CIWA patients using appropriate monitoring and treatment protocols
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC EMR (required)
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:4 within a 33-bed PCU unit

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR
• Demonstrated skills in cardiac rhythm interpretation, invasive line management, IV medication titration, trach and BiPAP management, and CIWA patient care

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a PCU, stepdown, or IMC setting
• Familiarity with ED overflow patient care environments
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
