Assistant, Plant Maintenance Technician, MRF - 2350151

Job Summary The Plant Maintenance Technician Assistant works under direct supervision and performs limited preventive maintenance assignments, completes minor repairs, and assists in major repairs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Performs repairs in accordance with WM Safety and Life Critical Rules, OSHA, and the Occupational and Safety Health Act. Completes minor repairs and assigned preventive maintenance services, ensuring all plant equipment functions properly. Assists technicians in adjusting, repairing, or replacing fixed and rolling‑stock equipment, including balers, conveyor belts, gearboxes, electrical motors, machine shafts, rollers, and bearings. Performs additional maintenance and project‑related work as required. Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards, following established safety procedures. Works a flexible schedule, which may include nights and weekends, to support the operating schedule and facility needs. Qualifications Required Qualifications Minimum age of 18 years. Legally eligible to work in the United States. Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations. Successful completion of pre‑employment screening, including drug screen and physical exam.
