Tech - MLT/Medical Technologist/Clinical Lab Scientist

Job Summary:

Seeking a qualified Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) for a 13-week assignment at a critical access hospital. The role involves performing various laboratory tests with a focus on microbiology, blood banking, and general clinical procedures.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Perform microbiology tests such as gram stains, planting cultures, and blood cultures.
  
  
• 
  Conduct Blood Bank testing with proficiency and accuracy.
  
  
• 
  Collect blood samples through phlebotomy and ensure specimen integrity.
  
  
• 
  Rotate through scheduled shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  
  
• 
  Adhere to Covid safety protocols, PPE, and isolation procedures.
  
  
• 
  Work independently, prioritize tasks, and multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Graduate from an approved Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science program.
  
  
• 
  Be certified or eligible for certification as an MT or MLT.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency in microbiology, blood bank testing, and phlebotomy.
  
  
• 
  Possess strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
  
  
• 
  Have experience working with Covid regulations and safety procedures.
  
  
• 
  Ability to work 13-hour shifts after initial training period.
