The successful candidate will be responsible for building a comprehensive and dynamic program that prepares students for success in the creative industries. This role requires a visionary and entrepreneurial leader with a deep understanding of art and design education, as well as the creative industries. The Executive Director will be tasked with integrating curricular, co-curricular, and professional development resources into a cohesive framework that is sensitive to the diverse needs of the student body, including those who are underrepresented in art and design fields. Key responsibilities for the Executive Director include leveraging existing resources, deepening partnerships, and serving as a visible ambassador and fundraiser. The ideal candidate will have a broad understanding of high-impact practices that support emerging artists and designers, such as internships, residencies, and mentorship programs. They should be dedicated to the goal of ensuring that students are prepared for purposeful creative lives after graduation and be adept at navigating complex institutional and budgetary realities.
