Associate Director of Alumni and Parent Engagement

Overview The Associate Director will serve as lead liaison for assigned affinity-based outreach, engagement, and fundraising appeals, efforts, and events; holds special event and project management responsibility for assigned affinity groups and participates in segmentation strategies pertaining to the comprehensive annual giving fundraising program. The Associate Director plays an active role as a member of the annual giving team, providing hands-on expertise with affinity communications, solicitations, and annual fundraising and cultivation events. Responsibilities Contribute to overall strategic planning for annual giving programs as it relates to the Parents Fund, Alumni Giving, Reunion/Class Giving, specialized alumni and multicultural initiatives, and other affinity-related and engagement programs. Design and manage an alumni class agent program to leverage alumni locally, across the country, and across generations who will drive positive support for the school and strengthen connections among alumni. Help make alumni connections to the school relevant for them and their lives. Manage all alumni related communications. Manage the Alumni Association and the Parents Association to ensure their activities serve the needs of the community. Oversee fundraising initiatives of the Athletics and Fine Arts Booster Clubs, serving as liaison between the Office of Advancement and the Athletics/Fine Arts Departments. Serve as staff lead and staff partner to the volunteer chair(s) of the annual gala, fully engaging in the planning process and ensuring full alignment with the administration’s expectations for this annual event. Engage, recruit, train, manage, thank, and retain alumni and parent volunteers to provide necessary volunteer resources for the school. Ensure that responsibilities and authorities of volunteers and staff are defined and understood. Provide regular statistical and financial reports on the status of programs and events being supervised. Develop strategic community and vendor partnerships that support annual fundraising events. Provide regular reports and budget updates for assigned areas of responsibility. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Commitment to embrace the Catholic Mission and Dominican Charism of St. Pius X High School. Bachelor’s degree with 2-3 years of fundraising/development/event coordination experience preferred. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others. Commitment to working evenings and weekends, when required. Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to listen carefully and respectfully and to speak with diplomacy and tact. Strong project management, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, as well as a passion for excellent customer service, commitment to exceptional quality, and the ability to balance multiple complex projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
