Cable Technician

Low Voltage Cable Technician Location: Hartford, CT We are looking for an experienced Low Voltage Cable Technician to join our team in the Hartford, CT area. This is a great opportunity for someone with hands-on cabling experience who holds a valid Connecticut low-voltage license. What Youll Be Doing Installing, pulling, terminating, and testing low-voltage cabling Working with Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optic, and other communication cabling Installing and terminating jacks, patch panels, and related equipment Troubleshooting and repairing cabling issues Reading basic prints, diagrams, and work instructions Following jobsite and safety requirements Working independently and alongside other technicians What Were Looking For Valid Connecticut low-voltage license, such as a T or C license Previous low-voltage, structured cabling, telecom, or electrical experience Experience pulling and terminating cable Comfortable working on ladders and lifts and using basic hand tools Reliable transportation and dependable attendance Ability to work independently and as part of a team Preferred Experience Cat5e/Cat6 installation and termination Fiber optic cabling Testing and troubleshooting Commercial construction or structured cabling environments Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Hartford, CT. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
